We stand behind every piece we make. Your ring comes with a 1-year warranty (excluding the center stone) covering any manufacturing defects such as small accent stones popping out within that time.

If any accent diamonds are lost within the warranty period, we will replace them at no cost. Damage from improper care or handling can be repaired at-cost during the warranty period.

Repairs or alterations done by another jeweller may void your warranty and care package, so we encourage you to trust our expert team for any work on your ring.

All of our rings are meticulously handcrafted right here in Toronto by our team of skilled artisans. We take pride in creating each piece locally, ensuring quality and attention to detail every step of the way.

The timeline varies based on design intricacy and gemstone availability. Typically, it can take anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks from consultation to completion.

We create a 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) of your ring and share it with you for feedback and adjustments.

3. Diamond Selection

We present a curated selection of diamonds along with our recommendation, and proceed once you approve.

4. Production

Our artisans handcraft your ring, and we share a video of the finished piece before it is delivered to you.

We are unwavering in our commitment to sourcing diamonds that are both conflict-free and ethically obtained. To guarantee this, we strictly adhere to the Kimberley Process, an international certification system that regulates rough diamond trade. In addition to the Kimberley Process, we work closely with trusted suppliers who provide detailed documentation and certifications verifying the origin of each diamond, ensuring both its ethical sourcing and its separation from conflict zones or related violence.

At Smiro, we are dedicated to crafting a ring that you will cherish. We keep you involved on every step in the process, with you making the final decision. Once you agree to your final design we will build your final (non-refundable) engagement ring.

To ensure that your ring fits perfectly, we offer one complimentary resizing. Please note that textured rings may require additional work to resize. Rings with stones set on the band can be safely resized a maximum of a 1/2 size larger or smaller. Rings with plain bands can be safely resized a maximum of 1 size larger or smaller.

Absolutely. Every diamond we source is authenticated and certified by globally recognized grading laboratories such as GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or IGI (International Gemological Institute). These are two of the most trusted names in the industry, known for their strict grading standards and unbiased evaluations. Your certificate verifies the diamond’s authenticity, quality, and characteristics, giving you complete confidence in your purchase.

In most cases, we do not work with client-supplied diamonds. On special occasions, we may make an exception after reviewing the stone to ensure it meets our quality and production standards.
