Our story
It all started decades ago with my dad. He built his life around jewelry, one ring at a time. No shortcuts, just honest craftsmanship, hands-on service, and treating every customer like family.
1979. First smiro ring gets crafted.
Our dad starts to build his life around jewelry, up to the point of getting to run a jewelry production factory back home.
1985. Dad opens up his shop in Toronto.
When we moved to Canada 20 years ago, he brought all that expertise with him, and decided to pour it into custom made jewelry.
2023. Clint's first tiktok.
Just to see what could happen, we posted our first video on TikTok. Next thing we know, it blews up. We had no idea this was going to happen.
2024. Karina and Clint quit their jobs.
After much thought, my sister and I took the leap and decided to quit our jobs at Fortune 500 companies. We spent the next six months shadowing our dad to learn and experiment the craft.
2026. Smiro Studio is second generation
Now, we help run Smiro with that same passion. Expanding into new audiences, and just, staying on top of the little details that count. We’re still a small team pouring everything into making pieces that feel personal and are built to last.
I grew up around this stuff: watching diamonds being set, sketching designs, learning from my Dad. Now I help run Smiro with that same passion, but with a fresh eye for modern design, marketing, and the little details that make a big difference.
