Our process begins with a filling out our free estimate! If you have any updates or additional specifications please send us an email or book a one-on-one consultation where we discuss your vision and preferences.

Next, we create a 3D CAD (Computerized Assistant Design), which we'll share with you for feedback. Once we finalize the design, our artisans handcraft the piece, ensuring every detail is perfect.

Finally, you'll receive your custom ring, tailored just for you.

The timeline varies based on design intricacy and gemstone availability. Typically, it can take anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks from consultation to completion.

You design with us virtually, approve a 3D rendering before production, and choose from rare diamonds, our signature Tulip Basket and hand engraving, then it arrives free and fully insured to your door. It's our signature floral setting, and we can make it in any diamond shape. From the top, your diamond is the star; underneath, a hidden flower blooms in the basket, a detail that makes the ring completely yours. We've built over a thousand of them, and every one started as a conversation.

The 6-petal is our most popular, its six petals create built-in support, so no hidden halo is needed. The 4-petal pairs with a hidden halo underneath for the same secure hold. Either way, the top stays clean and timeless, with all the personality tucked underneath.

Yes. A skilled artisan carves the design directly into the metal with specialized tools, no machine, no shortcut. Every stroke is slightly different, so every ring is one of one.

Three signatures to start, Floral, Vintage Scroll, and our most-loved Floral Vintage Mix. But we've carved everything from constellations and birth flowers to a custom bee, a celtic knot, handwriting, and even a design matched to a tattoo.

We help you find or create a rare shape, an unusual colour, or a specialty cut that's actually yours. Our signature cuts include the bowtie-free oval (even sparkle, no dark centre), the Portuguese cut (antique faceting with serious fire), and the crisscut Dutch marquise.

Yes, champagne, pink, yellow, green and blue. Here's the insider truth: the bold, saturated colours are the easy ones to find. It's the soft, pale tones (a whisper of pink, a pale champagne) that are genuinely rare, and the ones we love hunting down.

We can. When the exact stone in your head doesn't exist yet, we source the rough and have it cut to your spec, then send it to IGI for independent grading and its own certificate. It takes a little longer and a little trust, and you end up with a true one-of-one.

We are unwavering in our commitment to sourcing diamonds that are both conflict-free and ethically obtained. To guarantee this, we strictly adhere to the Kimberley Process, an international certification system that regulates rough diamond trade.

In addition to the Kimberley Process, we work closely with trusted suppliers who provide detailed documentation and certifications verifying the origin of each diamond, ensuring both its ethical sourcing and its separation from conflict zones or related violence.

We offer certified appraisal from a third-party gemologist for $100CAD. This appraisal provides you with an independent evaluation of your ring's value, ensuring that you have accurate information for insurance purposes.

While we don’t typically work with client-provided settings, we’re open to making exceptions. In such cases, we may be able to ship the completed setting to you for stone setting on your end.

That said, we also source gemstones and diamonds directly from trusted cutting factories, giving you access to exceptional quality and value if you're looking for a complete piece.

Yes, we offer payment plans on many pieces, depending on the project and what you're eligible for. Just ask during your consultation and we'll walk you through the options.

On a case-by-case basis. As fully custom jewellers, we focus on bespoke bands designed to complement your ring, a plain, standard band usually isn't the right fit for what we do. If you'd like a custom band, let's talk.

We're virtual-only for now. The whole experience (consultation, 3D approval and delivery) happens online, so you can work with us from anywhere in Canada or the USA.

You don't need a kit from us, a simple plastic ring sizer (about $10 on Amazon) or a quick visit to any local jeweller does the trick. And if the fit is ever slightly off, we offer resizing.

Yes, every order ships free, fully insured, door-to-door across Canada and the USA, with signature required on delivery.

At Smiro Studio, we are dedicated to crafting a ring that you will cherish. We keep you involved on every step in the process, with you making the final decision. Once you agree to your final design we will build your final (non-refundable) engagement ring.

We are committed to standing behind our products, and our one-year warranty covers any production defects (not including the centre stone) from the date of purchase. We take great pride in the quality of our rings and want you to enjoy them for a lifetime.

In case of lost accent diamonds, we will replace them within the warranty period. Please note that any damage caused by improper care or handling will be repaired at-cost within the warranty period. After the warranty period has ended, repairs may incur a small material and labor fee.

Modifications or alterations made by another jeweller may void your care package and warranty. We encourage you to trust our expert team with any repairs or alterations to ensure that your ring remains in optimal condition.
