Half bezel or full bezel
A full bezel goes all the way round, so every edge of the stone sits inside metal and nothing can snag. A half bezel covers two sides, so those edges sit inside metal, and leaves the other two open so the diamond takes in more light.
We keep our bezels thin, so the stone keeps its full outline. The full comparison is in bezel engagement ring pros and cons. Bezels come on a split shank too, from the same $1,499 CAD for the setting: see split shank engagement rings. For a ring that sits closer to the finger, our emerald half bezel is one of our low profile engagement rings.
