A cushion has soft rounded corners and large facets. It can be cut square or elongated, and we help you pick the ratio that suits your hand.

This ring is made to order: pick your diamond and it goes to the bench. A custom ring from scratch takes five steps, and nothing is made until you approve the design and the diamond.
1. Free estimate. Tell us the shape, carat, setting and metal and get a price for that exact ring in about a minute.
2. Book a design consultation. A free 20 minute video call with a jeweller, who gives you the price on the call.
3. 3D design. Your deposit starts it. A CAD file you mark up, then a 360 render you spin and approve.
4. Your diamond. You get two stones to choose from, each with a 360 video and its IGI certificate.
5. Handcrafted and delivered. Made by hand at the bench, a close-up video before you pay the balance, then free insured FedEx to your door.
About eleven weeks from deposit to your door for a full custom ring: around three weeks of design, six weeks at the bench and about two weeks in transit. A Made To Order Ring takes about 8 weeks.

Every ring is custom, one of one, and made by hand at the bench, with forty years of family craft behind it. We design with clients over video wherever they are, and rings for the US ship through our New York office.
Diamonds & Certification
We are unwavering in our commitment to sourcing diamonds that are both conflict-free and ethically obtained. To guarantee this, we strictly adhere to the Kimberley Process, an international certification system that regulates rough diamond trade.
In addition to the Kimberley Process, we work closely with trusted suppliers who provide detailed documentation and certifications verifying the origin of each diamond, ensuring both its ethical sourcing and its separation from conflict zones or related violence.
As an added assurance of quality, all of our engagement and wedding rings (each stone 1ct or larger) are accompanied by an IGI Certification https://www.igi.org/
We offer certified appraisal from a third-party gemologist for $100CAD. This appraisal provides you with an independent evaluation of your ring's value, ensuring that you have accurate information for insurance purposes.
While we don’t typically work with client-provided settings, we’re open to making exceptions. In such cases, we may be able to ship the completed setting to you for stone setting on your end.
That said, we also source gemstones and diamonds directly from trusted cutting factories, giving you access to exceptional quality and value if you're looking for a complete piece.
Warranty & Protection
At Smiro Studio, we are dedicated to crafting a ring that you will cherish. We keep you involved on every step in the process, with you making the final decision. Once you agree to your final design we will build your final (non-refundable) engagement ring.
We are committed to standing behind our products, and our one-year warranty covers any production defects (not including the centre stone) from the date of purchase. We take great pride in the quality of our rings and want you to enjoy them for a lifetime.
In case of lost accent diamonds, we will replace them within the warranty period. Please note that any damage caused by improper care or handling will be repaired at-cost within the warranty period. After the warranty period has ended, repairs may incur a small material and labor fee.
Modifications or alterations made by another jeweller may void your care package and warranty. We encourage you to trust our expert team with any repairs or alterations to ensure that your ring remains in optimal condition.
