Three questions everyone asks us about champagne diamonds. Number one, are they real diamonds? Yes, exactly the same, the same way you get natural diamonds or lab diamonds, same way you get champagne diamonds. All of them come with an IGI or GIA certification. Number two, will the colour fade or turn brown over time? No, it is a permanent change. You're not going to see any colour change at all. Number three, would you recommend them for an engagement ring? I personally love champagne diamonds for an engagement ring much more than I would a white diamond. They're very soft champagne tones. That's because you don't notice it's a champagne diamond until you take a closer look, and that's that extra level of uniqueness to really make your ring.
1. Are champagne diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. The same way you get natural diamonds and lab diamonds, you get champagne diamonds. It is the same carbon crystal, 10 on the hardness scale, and it is cut and graded like any other diamond. All of ours come with an IGI or GIA certificate. We sell both natural and lab grown and tell you plainly which a stone is.
2. Will the colour fade or turn brown?
No. The colour is permanent. It comes from the crystal structure of the stone, not a coating, so you will not see any colour change at all.
3. Would you recommend one for an engagement ring?
Yes. Clint personally likes a champagne diamond for an engagement ring more than a white one, especially in very soft tones. You do not notice it is champagne until you take a closer look, and that is the extra level of uniqueness.
How do I pick the right colour?
Champagne runs from a pale straw to a deep cognac, and 360 videos online often make stones look lighter or darker than they are. A lot of champagne stones on the market are too dark. We film the actual diamond in real light and send it to you before we buy it, so you can check the colour yourself.

Do champagne diamonds turn brown over time?
No. The colour is part of the stone and does not change.
Are champagne diamonds certified?
Yes. Ours come with an IGI or GIA certificate.
What shapes are popular for champagne diamonds?
The classics sell most for us: ovals, cushions and radiants. Old mine cuts get a lot of attention online, but ovals are the steady favourite.
Which metal suits a champagne diamond?
White gold or platinum shows the true colour. Yellow gold makes it warmer. More here.
How much do champagne diamonds cost?
Our loose champagne diamonds run from $3,500 to $4,500 CAD for stones between 2.70 and 4.05 carats, all VS clarity or better, as of September 2026. The ring is on top: a fully custom ring from us starts at about $4,000 USD in total. See the live stones in our champagne collection.
Are champagne diamonds worth it?
If you want colour that is soft and wearable every day, yes. They are real diamonds, they do not fade, and in lab grown you can get 3 or 4 carats of warm colour for a price most people can spend.
Are champagne diamonds natural or lab grown?
Both exist and we sell both. Tell us which you prefer and we will tell you plainly what a stone is.
