By Clint Casmiro, Co-Founder, Smiro Studio, Toronto · Updated October 11, 2026
Short answer: In our live listings in October 2026, loose champagne diamonds between 2.5 and 4 carats are priced from $3,500 to $4,250 CAD, which works out to roughly $1,000 to $1,450 per carat. People search for a champagne diamond price and find per carat charts with no real stones behind them. Here are the actual prices on the stones in our collection right now, in Canadian dollars.

What is the price per carat?
Across the stones above, roughly $1,000 to $1,450 CAD per carat. Per carat drops as stones get bigger: the 4 carat stones here cost less per carat than the 1.24 carat. So a 3 carat champagne diamond does not cost three times a 1 carat one.
What changes the price of a champagne diamond?
Colour depth. Champagne runs from a pale straw tint to a deep cognac, often described on a C1 to C7 scale. Colour is what you are paying for, so it matters more than clarity here. Our champagne diamond guide explains the scale.Carat. Bigger stones cost more in total but less per carat, as the table shows.Cut. Antique and unusual cuts, like an old mine cushion, are rarer and can cost a little more than a standard shape of the same weight.Clarity. Less important than in a white diamond, because the warm body colour hides small inclusions. VS clarity is plenty. Are champagne diamonds cheaper than white diamonds?
Compared with lab grown white diamonds, not by much. In our September 2026 listings a 2 carat white lab grown diamond had a median of $2,546 CAD and a 3 carat $2,696 CAD, so a 3 carat champagne at $3,500 costs about $800 more. You are paying for a stone with colour that is hand picked, not a commodity. Real numbers for white stones are in what a custom ring costs in Canada.
What about natural champagne diamonds?
We sell both natural and lab grown champagne diamonds and tell you plainly which a stone is before you buy. We do not have natural champagne prices listed online right now, so ask us on a call and we will quote real stones.
What does a finished champagne diamond ring cost?
Add the setting to the stone. Our Made To Order settings start at $1,299 CAD, and a fully custom ring from us starts at about $4,000 USD. Yellow gold makes champagne read warmer and white gold shows its true colour, see champagne diamond in yellow or white gold.
