Your hand engraving, no two ever the same.
Every hand engraving we do is carved by a skilled artisan, so every stroke is slightly different and every ring is one of one. Pick a style below, or bring us an idea nobody has carved before.
Start with where it goes.
The band shows it every day, the bridge keeps it just for you, and inside the band is for words. Pick a spot to see every style we carve there.

Smaller spots that add up
The gallery railThe thin rail under the head, above the bridge. Not much room, so scroll and fine leaves work best here.
The euroshankThe flat inner surface that sits against your finger. Cherry blossoms were a favourite here, because they were hers.
The bezelA half bezel leaves a smooth edge to carve along. A full bezel basket becomes its own little canvas under the stone.

On the bridge
Tucked underneath the head, between the stone and the band. You can't see it from the top and it doesn't change how the band stacks. Clint's favourite spot on the ring.
The band gets all the attention. But the bridge? That's where the real magic happens.
It's the part of the ring you don't see from the top. It's tucked underneath, between the head and the band. It's personal in a way nothing else on the ring can be, because it's just for you.

Because sometimes your story doesn't fit a template.
Some of our favourite bands are the ones where someone comes to us with a completely out-of-left-field idea. A specific flower. A place they've been. Something that means something. Here's some of what we've built.

Inside the band
Dates, initials, handwriting, a short phrase. Laser engraved for clean, exact lines, and we can set a birthstone here too. More ideas on our personalized engagement rings page.
More than one way to make it yours.
No two hand engraved pieces ever look exactly alike, and that's the point. Depending on what you're going for, there are a few ways we put a design into the metal.
carved
Hand Engraving
Carved directly into the metal by hand. The most personal, the most unique.
moulded
Cast Engraving
The design is built into the mould itself. Great when you want a pattern repeated exactly.
etched
Laser Engraving
Precision laser for fine text, dates, or small hidden details inside the band. Clean and exact.

Hand engraving questions, answered.
What is hand engraving on a ring?
Hand engraving is exactly what it sounds like. A skilled artisan uses specialized tools to carve designs directly into the metal, by hand. No machine, no shortcut. That's why no two pieces ever look exactly alike, and that's exactly the point.
What engraving styles can I choose?
More than fifty named styles, plus anything custom. Floral, with delicate flowers and petals carved along the band. Vintage scroll, classic scrollwork with an old-world feel. And our most popular, Floral + Scroll, flowers woven into a vintage scroll base. Every one is in the style gallery at the top of this page. If your idea doesn't fit a template, even better. We've engraved constellations, mountain ranges, and planes crossing a night sky.
Where on the ring can engraving go?
More places than you'd think. The band is where most people start. The bridge, tucked underneath the head, is the most personal spot, a little secret between you and the person wearing it. There's also the gallery rail, the euroshank against your finger, the inside of the band, and the bezel edge.
Can you engrave an engagement ring band?
Yes, and it's one of our favourite things to do. You can go subtle with a fine floral border that catches the light, or cover the entire band in something completely custom. It lives on the top side and front face of the band, so it's always visible.
