Ring size

Find the ring size without giving it away.

Most proposals are a surprise, so here are three quiet ways to get the size. A close guess is fine, and we'll help you check it.

Three ways to get it

Way 1

Borrow a ring they already wear

Take one from the right finger for a day. A jeweller can size it in seconds, or measure the inside across with a ruler and match the diameter in the chart.

Way 2

Use a strip of paper

Wrap it around the base of the finger, mark where it meets, and measure the length in millimetres. Measure in the evening, when fingers are a little bigger, and make sure it slides over the knuckle.

Way 3

Ask someone close

A best friend, a sister or a parent may already know the size, or can find out without giving the surprise away.

Not sure? A close guess is fine. If it needs adjusting after the proposal, resizing is $100 dropped off or $200 shipped.
