Ring Resizing Cost in Canada: What We Charge and Why

Short answer: At Smiro Studio resizing costs $100 in person or $200 shipped, and sizing beads cost $150 in person or $200 shipped. Having us resize keeps your one year warranty intact; resizing elsewhere voids it. Eternity bands and fully engraved bands usually cannot be resized and may need to be remade.

What are sizing beads?
Two small metal beads inside the band that stop a ring from spinning, useful when a knuckle is bigger than the base of the finger.
Which rings cannot be resized?
Eternity bands and fully engraved bands, because cutting and stretching would break the pattern or the stone line. Those usually need to be remade, which costs more.
Why not use any local jeweller?
You can, but third party work voids our warranty. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year from delivery, including lost accent diamonds, so it is worth keeping.
