Four prongs or six?
Four show more diamond and give a round a squarer, more modern outline, but they need a hidden halo or gallery rail tying them together underneath. Six hold the stone at six points, look rounder and softer, and become six tulip petals that support each other. On a round that leaves no room, and no need, for a hidden halo; on an oval we can still add one for sparkle, as on our oval six petal with a hidden halo. Both side by side in 4 vs 6 prongs on a round diamond.
