For whiteness and durability, yes. Platinum is naturally white and stays white as it wears. White gold starts rhodium plated and can look warmer as the plating wears, until it's re-plated. The trade-offs: platinum is heavier, costs more, and scuffs a little more easily on the surface. Both sides are in 14K vs 18K gold vs platinum.
$650 CAD on every ring we list with a lab grown centre stone, as of October 2026, and $500 or $600 CAD on most settings sold without a stone. Yes. A common build goes the other way: a platinum head on a yellow gold band, so white prongs blend into a white diamond and the band stays warm.
