How Should an Engagement Ring Fit? Snug, Not Tight

Short answer: It should slide over your knuckle with a little effort and sit snug at the base of your finger without spinning. Measure in the evening, when fingers are a little bigger, and if you are between two sizes, pick the bigger one. If it ends up off, we resize for $200 CAD shipped, and sizing beads can stop a ring from turning.
How do I measure my ring size?
- Borrow a ring. Take one from the right finger for a day. Any jeweller can size it in seconds, or measure the inside across with a ruler and match the chart.
- Use a strip of paper. Wrap it around the base of the finger, mark where it meets, and measure it in millimetres. Make sure it slides over the knuckle.
- Ask someone close. A best friend, sister or parent may already know.

What if I am between two sizes?
Pick the bigger one. Making a ring smaller is simpler than stretching it, and a ring that is slightly big can be fixed without changing the look.
What if my knuckle is bigger than the base of my finger?
Size for the knuckle, so the ring goes on, then add sizing beads: two small metal beads inside the band that stop it from spinning. Sizing beads are $200 CAD shipped with us.
What if the ring does not fit?
