What does a three stone tulip look like?

From the top it is a classic three stone. From the side the petals run under all three stones, so the head looks like one flower with two buds.
Four or six petals under the centre stone?
Both work. Six petals give the centre its own full flower. Four petals leave more room for the side stones to sit close, and pair with half petals or a hidden halo underneath.

Which side stones go with a tulip?
- Pears. JJ and Divya's ring is a 3.03 carat oval with matching pear side stones on V prongs, over an 8 petal basket of four larger petals and four half petals, in 14K yellow gold.
- Marquises. Coby's ring sets a 4.05 carat pear point up in a five petal tulip, with straight marquise side stones, a hidden halo under each of the three stones and a twisted pavé band in 14K yellow gold.
- Trapezoids. Straight edges for an emerald cut or radiant, like the five carat emerald in trapezoid side stones.
