Are Private Jewellers Cheaper? Our Real Prices

Short answer: Sometimes, but not by default. The diamond decides most of the price wherever you buy, so a private jeweller is cheaper only when the same stone and metal cost less there. Our complete listed rings with a 2 carat lab grown diamond start at $3,100 CAD in 14K gold, and the same spec gets the same price for everyone.
We can't tell you what a store down the street charges. We can show you our own numbers, as of October 2026, and how to line any two quotes up so the comparison is fair.

Where can a private jeweller save you money?
- Lab grown or natural. The biggest swing for the same size. Ask for both and we quote each.
- Spending where you can see it. Put the money into the stone and leave out details you don't care about.
- One price, quoted once. We don't run sitewide sales, so there is no sale price to wait for and no padded price before it.
Where can it cost more?
- Design and bench time. A fully custom ring takes about 3 weeks of 3D design before about 8 weeks at the bench and in delivery.
- Details. Hand engraving, a hidden halo or a hidden gem each add to the price.
- Metal. On our solitaire setting, 18K gold adds $400 CAD and platinum $600 CAD over 14K.
- Changing your mind late. Custom rings are final sale, and a deposit is non-refundable once paid. See the return and refund policy.
How do I compare a private jeweller with a store fairly?
Ask both for the same spec, line by line: shape, carat, colour, clarity, lab grown or natural, the certificate, the metal and the setting. Then ask what the number includes. Ours includes the centre stone, the 3D design, a one year warranty and insured shipping.

Is the price different if I'm in the US?
You are quoted in US dollars instead of Canadian, and we go over your price and any US costs on the call before you pay anything. Shipping is free and insured by FedEx either way. More on custom rings shipped across the US.

Half of our Canadian ring orders were quoted between $5,100 and $7,000 CAD, centre stone included. US clients are quoted in US dollars, from about $4,000 USD for a fully custom ring.

We don't. The same spec gets the same price for everyone, and we don't run sitewide sales, so there is nothing to wait for.
