Custom Tulip Engagement Rings: How We Design Yours

Short answer: A custom tulip is drawn around your diamond: the petals line up with its corners and points, and you approve a 360 render and the real stone on video. It takes about 10 to 12 weeks, deposit to door. Half our Canadian ring orders were quoted $5,100 to $7,000 CAD, and half our US orders about $4,000 USD median.

Why does your diamond change the petals?
The petals have to meet the stone where it needs holding: its corners, points and long sides. That is why the same tulip looks different on each shape, and why we draw it around your stone, not the other way round.

What does the render look like next to the finished ring?
The 3D render you approve, and the finished ring: Matt and Emily's 3.01 carat oval in a six tulip basket with leaf engraved prongs.

What makes a custom tulip one of one?
- Sonam's 2.5 carat Ashoka cut in a six petal head, the band hand engraved with stars, mountains, a lotus and the Himalayas.
- Coley and Julian's 4.28 carat moval with a marquise shaped coloured gemstone tucked inside each of its six petals.
- Juan's 5 carat marquise in 18K yellow gold, with blue sapphire and aquamarine set inside the band beside engraved zodiac signs.
- Alex's 2.01 carat oval with mountains engraved on the bridge under the tulip.

Ring orders paid December 2, 2025 to October 7, 2026, centre stone included: 317 Canadian orders quoted in CAD and 320 US orders quoted in USD. The two columns are in different currencies, so compare each within its own country. The median centre stone was 3.0 carats in both.

How long does a custom tulip engagement ring take?
About 10 to 12 weeks from deposit to your door, and about two weeks longer to the US for customs.

Yes. You mark up a CAD file and approve a 360 render, and you see your actual diamond on video. Nothing is made until you say yes.
