    Short answer: A nature engagement ring carries something from outdoors: leaves and vines, waves and shells, birds, or mountains, usually hand engraved on the band or the bridge. Seven of our 56 named engraving styles are nature themed, from leaves and waves to mountains and birds.

    Couples who met on a trail, a beach or a lake tend to want that place on the ring. Engraving is how we do it without making the ring look themed: the scene sits on the band or under the stone, and the top stays a clean diamond.

    Can a ring be engraved with leaves and vines?

    What does an ocean themed ring look like?

    Waves are the clearest ocean motif, and they suit the curve of a bridge. Vintage Waves is one of our bridge styles, and Shawali and Jaspal's ring has a wave design on one side of the bridge. For a beach story, Sea Shells + Birthstone puts shells along the band with small stones between them, and Vacation + Beach Theme carries a whole holiday.

    Can birds or animals be engraved?

    Yes. Birds is one of our bridge styles: a small flock in flight under the head. We have carved a custom bee on a band, and paw prints are one of our inside the band designs. Any animal with a clear outline can be drawn small enough to fit.

    What about mountains?

    Mountains have their own guide: mountain engagement rings, with a range on the bridge and another carved on both shoulders.

    How do we get our place onto the ring?

    Send us photos: the coastline, the trail, the tree. We draw it to fit the space on your ring, show you the drawing and the 3D design, and the engraver cuts it from that. The steps are in how hand engraving is designed.
